I actually know Kurt from my days working for Best Buy. He was the guy that I swear never wore the same sneakers twice. If he did I never knew it. Well, he fell in love with a girl named Nicole (Nikki) told her about me and my photography and the rest is history!! They are getting married next May but we took a small adventure in and around Chicago earlier this month for their Engagement Session.
I always encourage a session that reflects the personalities of both the Bride and Groom as well as their relationship.... Nikki + Kurt took that to heart. We started on under the 'L' on Wells Street. We got to play our own personal game of chicken between lights to capture some fun shots between traffic.
Then we took a short walk over the the Kinzie Street Bridge for some frolicking over the Chicago River.
It was a hot afternoon (like super hot) so we headed over to the Bucktown area for a cold drink at Ipsento Coffee, because coffee is life. Kurt & Nikki got cute so I snuck a few paparazzi style photos of them.
Then there was a quick wardrobe change and we headed to Kurt's favorite place, Uprise Skateshop. This is where he gets all those sneakers. It's such a cool place and we had some fun capturing a few photos in the shop, with the shoes, and right in front with the big red doorway.
After the time I spent with them I'm confident that their wedding will be an Absolute BLAST. I can not wait to document their Wedding Day in May of 2019!!
