I mentioned in my last post that I was venturing into Wedding photography. This is a BIG step for me and one that I am not taking on lightly. I have been Assisting & Second Shooting with a Wedding Photographer out of the City. He has taught me a great many things about how to successfully work through a wedding and keep everyone in check, the biggest lesson I have gotten from him was my confidence. I am grateful for the time I get to work with him and looking forward to many more, even as I venture on my own. The first one in December!!!
In May, I did the other thing you do to prepare for this.... A Styled Shoot. This is when a bunch of vendors get together and put together a wedding on a much smaller scale. There is a Bride and Groom, flowers, and a fabulous venue that is decorated just as a wedding would be. This allows us to practice making those moments that make albums and giant canvas without the rush of the day.
Let me tell you - I had a wonderful time doing this. The venue, Kuiper's Family Farm, is rustic and modern surrounded by vineyards, open space, and a few goats. Who doesn't love a good goat??? Inside, the tables were set and flowers were arranged in a late spring palette that complimented the space with elegance. All the Decor were by Party Ingenuity and the Flowers were arranged by Custom Floral Design.
Here is a look at what the day looked like Photographing two couples here in this awesome space.
